Silicone Mold Casting
Creating a 2-part silicone mold to create resin casts
The resin cast that comes out of the mold closely resembles the original figurine as seen in the main image.
Using clay to set the bottom of the mold
The pink is the first half of the silicone mold. The raised bumps allow for alignment when the second half is cast.
The yellow cup provides the structure before pouring the second half of the silicone
The blue is the second half of the silicone to create the 2 part mold
The mold being held together with a clamp while the resin is setting inside
